While it is true that if you don't have proper nutrition before a morning workout you will burn more fat, the downside is that you will also be burning lean muscle mass. Without the proper fuel to get you through your workout, your body will shift into safe mode, burning fat and muscle. Remember, fat is burned inside of muscle so you want to maintain your muscle mass and burn only the fat. Eat a good combination of Carbs, Protein and Fat for breakfast at least 1-2 hours before your workout!
